Event by Boots On Adventures and Kent Walking Group
On the 25th August we will be strolling from Goodnestone to visit some of the nearby villages. The walk will start at Goodnestone Car Park. There is also parking available along the side of the road in Goodnestone village in what is called the Street. There will be a slightly later start to this walk just in case people wish to take advantage of the delicious breakfast that is available at the Old Dairy Cafe. From the car park we will make our way to Nonington and then wind our way through the Bruderhof community and onto the tiny village of Knowlton. From there we will stroll onto Chillenden and then make our way back through the field and forest to Goodnestone. Along the way we will hear tales of multi-generational naval disasters, famous English authors and why a village would be called Thankful.
